Christmas Trees On Skis

After getting skunked last year when our local forest areas stopped allowing Christmas tree cutting, we vowed to do whatever it took to cut a live tree this year... so it was a bit of a drive up to Winter Park, but worth every mile!

Not only did we get the perfect tree, but we also had perfect snow on a perfect day! (Not to mention the excellent company of our friends/neighbors, Glad and Scott.)

Mel and Alvin took turns getting towed on their ski bike by their mom. Mel did a great job staying in the track... most of the time - only ate it twice, but got right back on!

Drew hauled the balance of the kids in the chariot.

Made it to base camp. Alvin enjoying some tasty rocky mountain snow.

Just minutes after cutting down the perfect tree!

Two snug bugs in a buggy.

If we can manage to get cards out this year, you may see these smiles again!

We discovered that the chariot is also a fantastic conveyance for tree extraction.

Alvin trying out his XC skis for the first time. He likes it!

Classic Becky. No matter the adventure, she has to get the foot pic... I'll have to do a post on just that sometime :)

Alvin cruising down the trail on the ski bike.

Mmmmm, hot cider waiting at the car. Thanks mom!

Just can't get enough of this cutie pie!

Love the hair, Mel!

They say a happy wife is a happy life - I have a happy life! Love you, Becky!
